Brown + Wallace provided a full Condition Survey Reports and Planned Preventative Maintenance Plan of 40 Academic and Residency Facilities for The University of Strathclyde. The portfolio consisted of a wide range of properties from recently constructed to Category A listed buildings.
Brown + Wallace were instructed to inspect 40 properties on behalf of The University of Strathclyde to provide them with condition surveys and planned maintenance costs over a 10 year period.
Our survey involved the non-disruptive inspection of the roof, external elevations and all internal rooms within each property inclusive of all roof voids. Thereafter, we prepared and issued a report giving advice on the areas of disrepair and the works required to make good. Budgetary costs for these works were provided in the form of a 10 year planned preventative maintenance plan. Brown + Wallace were responsible for the coordination and delivery of specialist mechanical and electrical surveys, access audits and fire risk assessments. We appointed a team of sub-consultants to undertake M&E surveys and from their findings and recommendations we were able to extract the key findings and form one report for each property for client issue.
This allowed the client to accurately priorities and plan their maintenance budget and expenditure over the 10 year maintenance period.
