The works involve the fabric repair and re-roofing of the Gas Purifier Shed and associated Gas Meter House in Dalmarnock, Glasgow. Works are being undertaken in a phased manner to facilitate the hosting of the 2018 Glasgow International arts festival.
Brown + Wallace were originally commissioned to undertake a feasibility study for the comprehensive refurbishment of the building to provide artists' studios and creative office space.
We were then appointed to provide Quantity Surveying and Contract Administration services for fabric repairs, re-roofing and other works required to preserve the building and prepare it for its use as a key venue for the 2018 Glasgow International festival. Works are currently on site with Brown + Wallace providing a full service including the administration of the public procurement process.
Brown + Wallace are working on the project as part of a Design Team with Inch Architecture, David Narro Associates and Atelier Ten.
